Adult Fitness Equipment Orientation
During an orientation, you will learn how to use the cardiovascular and strength equipment to increase your health and well-being. Orientations will be one hour long and are provided by one of our certified personal trainers.
You will learn how to use the following types or equipment:
- Cardio machines, such as treadmills, bikes, elliptical trainers and the row machine
- Strength equipment, such as the leg press and chest press machines
Age requirement: 16 years and older Cost: $25
To get started, complete the Adult Fitness Equipment Orientation Request Form and return to the Community Center front desk or email completed form to Krista.
Youth Fitness Orientation
Parents: Do you have a child that's eager to use the Fitness Center and is between the ages of 13 to 15? Does you child need a little extra guidance and instruction with proper technique or fitness etiquette? If you answered yes, then this is the class for your child!
This class will cover the following items:
- Proper use of the equipment in Fitness Center
- Safety concerns while in the weight room and common courtesies that are enforced in the Fitness Center
At the end of the class, your child will be given a PASS or FAIL Test. Upon completion of this class with a PASSING grade, your child will be able to have access to the MACHINE and DUMBBELLS AREAS in the Fitness Center without Adult Supervision.

*Juniors 13 to 15 years of age holding a membership shall be able to use VPCC on a limited basis. Juniors 13 to 15 may use the fitness center only after taking and passing the fitness orientation class provided by VPCC trainers. These members must present their membership cards with the indicator that states they have passed the fitness orientation class to utilize the weight room on their own. - VPCC Rules and Regulations
