Learn to Swim Programs

  1. Three and Up Swim Lessons
  2. Two and Under Parent Tot Class

Fall Registration Opens Tuesday, August 31st!

The Cabot Parks and Recreation Group Swim Lesson Program is designed as a multi-level progressive swimming program. Basic swimming experience is not required, but helpful if higher levels are desired.

Studies show that nearly half of all drowning victims are infants and toddlers. Early exposure to water safety and swimming can prevent this when properly administered.

This class is designed to teach swimmers all four competitive swimming strokes, dives, and swimming wall transitions if all four levels are completed.  All classes are taught by Certified as American Red Cross Lifeguards and overseen by Certified American Red Cross Lifeguards or Certified USA Swim Coaches. The instructors have all had specific training in effectively teaching learn to swim programs, water safety, customer service, lifesaving, first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Those with the extra certifications have had between 60-100 plus hours of specialized training. It is important to note that multiple sessions should be expected for each level before progressions to the next level can be achieved.  The basics provide a solid foundation for future swimming and we stress them.
